…..but most importantly the new stationery catalogue has arrived. I was a little disappointed that Nadine chucked it on the floor without even glancing at it but I am pleased to say that Yours Truly managed to have a thorough look through it and I have found many new items that may be of interest to us which………………… Look Pips!
‘George?’
I can stand as still as a statue.
‘What are you doing?’
See Pips? See how still I am?
‘What’s the matter George? What are you looking at?’
Nothing. I’m concentrating.
‘I can’t see anything over there’.
No it’s me Pips. Look at me. See?
‘You’re extremely odd George, you know that?’
I’ve been practising. Can you tell?
‘Come on now. We can’t hang about or we’ll be late back from lunch and I’ve got a meeting with Judith at two’.
Wait. Wait Pips. Just a few more seconds…..
‘Sometimes I wonder about you, I really do’.
There! Did you like that?
‘We can continue walking now can we? Good’.
What do you think? I just suddenly wanted to show you.
‘What was all that about George?’
It was about exploring stillness and experimenting with myself actually, since you ask. You could say it was about pushing the boundaries of being me.
‘I liked your back leg poised just above the ground. Very unique’.
Did you like it Pips? I did too! I’m glad you noticed.
‘It had a certain/’
Thank you Pips.
‘something... about it’.
You’re welcome. What was I saying before…? Oh yes, and I told Nadine that she is not to worry about stationery supplies while I am away as the cupboard is well stocked up – although not necessarily with what I have ordered/
‘Oh George I need to remember to get some batteries for my camera before Barcelona too’.
so if anyone complains that we haven’t got what they want I have asked her to refer them to me on my return.
‘Will you remind me?’
About what Pips?
