Sixteen

Round and round and round I go. Round and round and round I go. Round and round and rou..ow!
'Got you!'
Hello Pips.
'That is naughty George! You heard me calling you'.
I did Pips yes.
'Why did you not come when I called?'
Because it's been so long since I've felt the wind in my fur and/
'You could have run out into the road'.
No I couldn't because I was running in circles, actually, if you were paying attention.
'You could have been run over by a car'.
But we are in the middle of Bloomsbury Square Pips/
'Or a bus. What would have happened then huh?'
Well in point of fact I have a very good sense of direction and I had no intention of running out into the road/
'That is the first and last time I let you off the lead George'.
because, as I said, I was in fact running in circles and/
'That is it. I mean it George'.
But/
'That was very naughty!'
'Oh up yours Philippa. I was just running in circles which is a particular favourite of mine and something which you have never seen me do because you have never given me the chance because you are a spoil sport and don't let me have any fun'.
'You could have caused an accident'.
We are in the middle of Bloomsbury Square Philippa so do not patronise me and/
'I'm disappointed in you George. I am very disappointed'.
Not as disappointed as I am in you Pips. You're lucky I didn't chase the pigeons. I could have. I felt like it but/
'I thought I could trust you not to run off George'.
I WASN'T RUNNING OFF. I WAS RUNNING IN CIRCLES! HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU?
'The lead's going back on you now and that's where it's staying. You're a very naughty boy'.
Yes I heard the first time.
'Right. There we go'.
You're a control freak Philippa, you know that? Yes you are. I think you should perhaps get some help'.
'You scared me George'.
Because it's not nice to live with. It really isn't actually and in fact you're squeezing me a little hard Pips if I can just say that…
